The Queen's Platinum Jubilee was celebrated in Felixstowe with four days of events, live music, flypasts and a big picnic lunch. Oraganised by Felixstowe Carnival Committee and Felixstowe Town Council, Visit Felixstowe offered a supporting role by promoting the events across its social media platforms. Thursday saw a march through town and proclamation by the Mayor of Felixstowe at the Town Hall before the lighting of a beacon at Landguard Fort. Friday and Saturday saw community groups and bands take to the stage at the Beachside Events Area. On Sunday, the Lions Club of Felixstowe hosted a big picnic lunch at the Leisure Centre.

Felixstowe BID and Visit Felixstowe were proud to host an information stall at the Chairman of Suffolk County Council's annual reception. The event at the Orwell Hotel saw 150 invited guests from across the county gather to help raise funds for East Anglian Air Ambulance. As well as being Chairman, County Councillor and Town Councillor, Graham Newman, is also Chief Ambassador for Visit Felixstowe and can often be found manning the tourist information beach hut on the seafront. "Graham is such a strong supporter of Visit Felixstowe we were only too pleased to join him for his event," said BID Manager Sheline Gledhill. "Visitors were keen to learn about forthcoming events for the Jubilee and many went away with a stick of Felixstowe rock for the journey home."
