Felixstowe BID has secured a grant of £10,000 to give the Visit Felixstowe website a fresh new look.
The money came from the East Suffolk Towns Initiative (ESTI) fund, which aims to ensure towns like Felixstowe are “economically vibrant and can achieve long term sustainability for the local community, businesses and visitors”.
Felixstowe BID’s application was based on it’s agreed business plan to boost visitor marketing and to develop a comprehensive digital platform to showcase the complete Felixstowe experience.
The contract to redevelop the site was won by Prominent PR, a Felixstowe-based agency with a proven track record in delivering placed-based marketing solutions.
Visit Felixstowe is a much-loved brand with its social media sites reaching thousands of people across the UK and beyond/ It is anticipated that the relaunch will coincide with the SMART town initiative due to be rolled out this spring, which will bring free Wi-Fi to the town and seafront, with visitors who log on being automatically directed to Visit Felixstowe.
