Thank you to all the shops and businesses who took part in the great Felixstowe Bonkers Christmas Gonk Trail which ran throughout December.
The challenge to children of all ages was to find the ten missing gonks and 20 presents which slipped off Santa’s sleigh as he was cruising over Felixstowe checking out who had been naughty or nice.
Santa’s little helpers were scattered in shops from Great Eastern Square to Bent Hill but thanks to all the participants, they have now been found and are heading back to the North Pole until next year.
Our thanks to Debby Cloud at the Wool Baa in Hamilton Road for her hard work and creativity and we sincerely hope the Gonks brought some seasonal smiles and a few more visitors to the town’s independents.
Congratulations to Joshua Osborne who has been named the winner of The Felixstowe Bonkers Christmas Gonk Trail.
The Trail, which involved finding ten missing Gonks and colour matched presents, whilst avoiding ten decoy parcels, involved 30 town centre shops and businesses and ran throughout December.
Joshua’s winning entry was pulled from the box of correct entry forms and he picked up his prize this week from Debby Cloud at The Wool Baa in Hamilton Road.
Eleven-year-old Joshua from Kesgrave said the trail was pretty tricky and necessitated a second trip to Felixstowe as he couldn’t find them all on one visit.
He is a very worthy winner and has named his prize Gonk Liam.
Well done Joshua!
