Open-air ice skating and live music helped create a festive atmosphere in Felixstowe on the last shopping weekend before Christmas as shoppers showed their support for the town.
The synthetic ice rink at Great Eastern Square was accompanied by children’s rides and festive treats, while at The Triangle Fresh Gold Radio welcomed local bands and performers to entertain passers-by.
Younger skaters were particularly excited to meet Elsa from Frozen, who came along to sing some songs from the movie.
Both events were organised by Felixstowe Business Improvement District (BID) and aimed to increase footfall in the town centre and to spread some Christmas cheer.
It was wonderful to see people enjoying the activities and entertainment at both sites and we thank everyone involved in making it such a success.
A special mention of thanks goes to the East of England Co-op for hosting the ice-skating rink, Felixstowe Town Council for their support, Fresh Gold Radio and all the acts who performed at The Triangle and Ocean Boulevard for supplying the children’s rides.
